Springer CSE 2009 for Gianluigi Rozza, Cuong Nguyen and Phuong Huynh

Springer CSE 2009

The Springer CSE prize 2009, established by Springer for the first time this year, has been assigned to "rbMIT team" made up by Dr. Gianluigi Rozza (EPFL), Dr. Cuong Nguyen (MIT) and Dr. Phuong Huynh (National University of Singapore) for their joint research related with reduced basis methods focused on the solution of parametrized partial differential equations and the development of a related software library available at http://augustine.mit.edu.

The Springer CSE Prize 2009 is awarded at the open ceremony of the Conference Numerische Mathematik 50 at the Academy of Science and Letter in Munich, Germany on 15th June 2009.

With the establishment of this prize Springer recognizes the importance of Computational Science and Engineering as a cross-disciplinary and growing field. The Springer CSE Prize is assigned to a team of at least two scientists under 40 with a different scientific background.

The prize winning team has been selected by the editors of the book series Lecture Notes in Computational Science and Engineering.
